HISTORY
The Fast Forward Fund (FFF) was led
through its pilot year by an international network of students, guided
by its founding Board of professional mentors. Inaugural youth directors
included 20 competitively selected students from 8 countries through the Bard
Globalization & International Affairs (BGIA) Program,
a semester-intensive immersion in NYC. FFF was independently incorporated
summer 2008; launched at a press conference with President Clinton featuring
FFF as an outstanding commitment of the Clinton
Global Initiative University (CGIU) in February 2009. In 2010,
it completed its partnership with The
Fund for the City of New York (FCNY), which provided fiscal,
personnel, and administrative management services for FFF through the FCNY
Incubator Program. FFF was honored by SVN in 2009 as a finalist in their Social Innovation
Awards. FFF is relaunching as Fast Forward+, a project of Global Momenta.
